Coffee-stained letters fill my soul
with unwanted tears. Forgotten,
yet still falling... always at the
mercy of gravity.

Inked words on parchment
are faded and blotted with
time. Somehow still readable,
like the memory of your
kiss.

It seems just yesterday, you
said goodbye, but the
date of your letter says
otherwise - just like a dream
shattered from the winds and
flying slowly in the breeze.

Battered sobs escape my lips
with heavy sighs in my heart.
Oh, how I miss you.
Meaning escapes me, but I flipped to a clean page in my notebook to see "Coffee-Stained Memories" was to be the title of a wordless poem. I no longer had the motivation to write whatever that was supposed to be, but I did write this out of thin air XD
