Literature Text

I love to recall
our summer together,
when we melted under
the heat of the sun
further into each other.

I loved you,
and you loved me,
as expressed when we would lie
in the two-big hammock.
You would bury your face in my hair,
pulling me close. And as you
breathed in my scent,
your lips grazed the curvature
of my neck.
All the while, my ‘I love you’s
were soft kisses
to all of the skin I could see.
I started with the pads of your fingers
and ended at your collar bone.

It is only that summer
where my fondest of memories lay.
They come to haunt me
in the cold of winter
[and I wonder if you ever think of me…?].
And it is then that I yearn
for a summer in that
too-big hammock.
...?
